Norwich City boss Glenn Roeder is moving for Newcastle striker Shola Ameobi.

Roeder would have had Ameobi on board for today's trip to Plymouth had it not been for a St James' Park injury crisis.

Ameobi, 26, has started just one Premier League game under Sam Allardyce. Roeder refused to name his man but said: "He's a real Premiership player but his manager doesn't fancy him."
