Norwich City goalkeeper John Ruddy clashed with home fans at the end of their defeat to West Bromwich Albion.

Norwich City goalkeeper John Ruddy clashed with home fans at the end of their defeat to West Bromwich Albion.

The Sunday Mirror says Ruddy had to be pulled away by stewards from confronting his own Norwich fans after the 1-0 defeat.

A Norwich fan, claiming to be the man involved in the Ruddy bust-up, later called a local radio station to apologise.

He said that both he and Ruddy were passionate about the team.

He said his criticism had not been aimed at Ruddy, but at the 10 players in front of him.
