Norwich City chief executive David McNally says they're close to naming a new manager.

"We have identified who we would like to see and we've focused on our number one target. I have met with him and we are in talks," McNally told the club's official website.

"I can't confirm when he will be at the football club but I am confident at some point, we should be able to make a positive announcement.

"He is currently employed at another football club. I am confident that our number one candidate the right credentials for this position. We have researched the qualities and the experience and we've looked at suitable references and we believe that we have the right person in our sights."
