Norwich challenge QPR, Fulham for Newcastle's Simpson

Newcastle United hope to raise £4 million from the sale of Danny Simpson.

The Daily Star says Simpson, 25, looks set to leave Tyneside as Toon grow impatient with his failure to agree a new deal.

They would rather cash in on £4million-rated Simpson now than risk losing him on a free when his contract runs out next summer.

Sources close to Simpson say he fancies a move to London but new Norwich City boss Chris Hughton, who signed him for Newcastle, is interested. QPR and Fulham are following developments.
