Norwich City are eyeing free agent Ryan Taylor.

The Mirror says Taylor is also a target for Queens Park Rangers.

Versatile Taylor, 30, who can operate in both full back positions and in midfield, was told by phone that he was being released by Newcastle after his contract expired last month.

Taylor has seen his career blighted by a string of bad luck with injuries but there has been no shortage of interest with QPR looking to rebuild their squad.

Nottingham Forest, Bournemouth, Hull and Norwich are also monitoring developments with the free agent.
