Norwich boss Lambert hails his heroes after Liverpool point

Norwich City boss Paul Lambert hailed his players after their 1-1 draw at Liverpool.

Craig Bellamy's goal was cancelled out by Norwich when Grant Holt powered home a header on the hour.

Lambert hailed the draw as "massive".

"I thought the first half we were a bit frightened by it and never really got going and Liverpool put us under immense pressure but the way the lads defended was great," he said.

"The second half we played the way we have been [doing] and I thought we went at them and were excellent.

"There have been some fantastic teams come here and get turned over.

"It is massive, that is a huge point. No-one gave us an earthly [chance] coming here."

Lambert praised the contribution of Holt and goalkeeper John Ruddy.

"Grant came on and I think it was a fantastic header. I thought him and Steve Morison together were an absolute handful," he added. "I thought Suarez's volley was going in but when you play at a high level big players produce big moments and I thought that save was world class."
