Norwich City boss Chris Hughton is confident their deal for Rangers fullback Steven Whittaker will stand.

Hughton is confident of keeping the ace despite his international clearance being put on hold due to Rangers' plight.

Asked if the player might have to go back, Hughton replied: "I don't see that being the case.

"I am just pleased to have him on the training pitch, he is a good addition for us.

"I understand it is an issue on people's minds but I have to leave it to the administrators."
