Norwich City boss Chris Hughton admits their failure to make a striker signing in January now has their Premier League status at risk.

The Canaries were undone by Aston Villa on Saturday at Carrow Road.

"We pushed as hard as we could in January - you have to work around what the circumstances and finances are," Hughton said.

"It didn't happen and now we have to make sure we finish these last two games in the way we would like."
