Norwich boss Hughton wary asking too much too soon from Olsson

Norwich City boss Chris Hughton is delighted with the preseason form of summer signing Martin Olsson.

Hughton is urging caution with Olsson after an impressive Carrow Road midweek bow against Real Sociedad.

"He gives us a different dimension, but he was blowing a little bit in the second period," said Hughton. "He picked up an injury towards the end of last season and we had to tread a little bit carefully with him when he first arrived.

"He is probably not up to speed as much as some of the others and that is why we are bringing him in gradually with 45 minutes against Braga and now an hour or so in the last game.

"I think anyone watching that could see he loves to get forward. He is very much an attacking full-back. That is his strength. He will get better the more games he plays of course so my responsibility is to make sure we manage him right."
