Norwich City manager Chris Hughton believes goalkeeper John Ruddy has to be in Roy Hodgson's England squad for the World Cup.
The 27-year old has produced 11 clean sheets in 31 Premier League outings for the Canaries this season which has prompted his club boss to suggest that he is right up there in the top three English glovemen at present.
Manchester City's Joe Hart has the number one shirt sewn up but for Brazil 2014 there are still two vacancies which are likely to be filled by West Bromwich Albion's Ben Foster, Celtic's Fraser Forster or Ruddy and Hughton hopes it is the latter.
"I might sound biased but John's been really good for us," Hughton told talkSPORT.
"He's kept a lot of clean sheets.
"We're sure Roy will make the right decision. We have every faith that, should John need to do a job for England, he'll be capable of doing that."
