Norwich City boss Chris Hughton is sorry for Martin Jol over his sacking at Fulham.
Hughton worked with Jol at Tottenham.
"Martin is someone I know very, very well and have worked with over the years at Tottenham," said Hughton. "I was very saddened to see that and it is always disappointing to see that. It is an unfortunate part of the game and with the pressures and the ownership models you increasingly see now it is a process I can see continuing to happen. The facts show you there isn't the patience there used to be. It is a results-driven game and that affects people's thinking."
