Norwich City boss Chris Hughton is moving for Barnsley midfielder Jacob Butterfield.

Butterfield has come off contract at Barnsley this week.

The Pink 'Un says Hughton saw the qualities of Butterfield first hand last season when he scored against his then Birmingham City side in a 1-1 draw at St Andrews in September.

The Canaries will be forced to pay some sort of compensation fee as Butterfield is under the age of 24.
