Norwich City boss Chris Hughton is hoping for a big boost from new signing Luciano Becchio.

And the Canaries boss believes the 19-goal striker, signed from Leeds, can inspire Norwich to their first win in eight games.

Hughton said: "I wanted someone who would freshen things up and Becchio will do that.

"He is fit and up to speed, he has been in good form for Leeds and he has been scoring goals all season.

"He will give us real options, either as a starter or as an impact substitute.

"He will definitely give us a new dimension going forward."
