Norwich boss Hughton excited by Fer form

Norwich City boss Chris Hughton is delighted with their capture of Leroy Fer.

The versatile Fer was again paired in tandem just behind record signing Ricky van Wolfswinkel during the latest 1-1 friendly draw against Real Sociedad before a second-half stint in a holding role.

"I haven't made my mind up yet but what I do know is that I have good options with Leroy," Hughton told the Pink 'Un. "He is a player that can play anywhere across midfield or even in that advanced position. It's a good option for us to have because we are going to be playing so many games and facing a lot of different formations. We tried him in an advanced role again with Ricky and it is something I have been looking at. Leroy is of course a very versatile player.

"We have one more pre-season game and then some internationals going away so for me it is about getting the balances right at this stage and he is another one we need to get fully up to speed. He is a superb player and I think against Sociedad he showed glimpses of his quality."
