Norwich City boss Chris Hughton was delighted with their 0-0 draw against Manchester City.

Hughton believes it could go a long way towards shaping the remainder of their campaign.

"It's difficult to play a normal game against City. We knew defensively we had to have a good shape, but we also knew we had to be a threat," said Hughton, who was without Ryan Bennett, Robert Snodgrass and Jonas Gutierrez through injury.

"We had to be disciplined and also a threat on the ball and keep possession. I thought we did most things right today.

"We were up against arguably the best team in the country and you have to show something.

"We will have to show a lot of that when we go to West Ham (on Tuesday night), we will certainly need a fair chunk of what we had today."
