Norwegian youngster Agdestein signs Brighton extension

Brighton & Hove Albion have signed youngster Torbjorn Agdestein to a new deal.

The promising 20-year old Norwegian joined the Seagulls in 2010 and although he has not yet imposed himself on the first team, manager Gus Poyet is excited about what he will bring to the club in the future.

"Toby has understood what we have been trying to teach him from the beginning and under Luke Williams (development squad coach) he has become a better player," Poyet told the club's official website.

"He can play anywhere in attack and he knows when to pass the ball, when to keep the ball and when to shoot.

"He's a great prospect for the club and he's produced it for us when he's come on in first-team games. I know that I can count on him."
