Norway coach Lars Lagerback admits Martin Odegaard's move to Heerenveen has failed.

The Real Madrid midfielder joined the Eredivisie outfit on-loan in January, but has struggled to make an impression.

In Heerenveen's last three games, Odegaard has managed just three minutes.

Lagerback admits he's disappointed, saying: "The idea was that Martin needed more playing time, not less time.

"A loan in the Norwegian championship would have been more interesting so that he plays with friends."
