Northern Ireland boss Worthington willing to throw Wolves rookie Gorman into action

Northern Ireland boss Nigel Worthington is ready to throw Wolves teenager into the Euros battle tonight against Slovenia.

Schoolkid Gorman, 17, will be on the Northern Ireland bench in Maribor and set for his first competitive outing after winning three caps in friendlies.

Boss Worthy said: "Johnny went to America and Chile with us in the summer and did so well.

"Sometimes inexperience and nerves can hold young players back a bit.

"That hasn't happened with Johnny so I am delighted with that. He deserves to be here."
