Northampton skipper Holt: I roared on Man Utd beating Liverpool, then did it myself!

Northampton captain Andy Holt loved beating Liverpool this week - as he's a Manchester United fan!

The victory was sweeter for United mad Holt than many of his team-mates.

The Stockport-born defender told The Sun: "I was at Old Trafford last Sunday to watch United beat them 3-2.

"If you watch a video of the match, I was one of the 70,000 home fans cheering Dimitar Berbatov's hat-trick!

"I was also on a scouting mission and I discovered plenty of weaknesses in the Liverpool team.

"Unfortunately they played virtually a different team against us.

"But we knew we could cause them problems at set-pieces and we managed to do that.

"And, as a United fan, let me tell you, there is no nicer way of beating Liverpool than on penalties at the Kop end. Perfect."
