Former Liverpool star Robbie Fowler has been linked with Major League Soccer club Chicago Fire. At a time where rumours are circulating non-stop in world football, it seems that the Fire have had discussions with Fowler but technical director Frank Klopas says that no deal will be done.

Reports have suggested that the Fire offered Fowler a contract but Klopas denied those rumours.

"We haven't offered Robbie Fowler a contract," Klopas told the Chicago Daily Herald. "We haven't talked with his agent in a really long time."

This leaves the door open for North Queensland to continue talks with the former England star who no longer has a contract with English Premier League club Blackburn Rovers.
