North Queensland Fury striker Brendon Santalab has signed with Chinese Super League outfit Chengdu Blades. The 26-year old signed a two-year deal with the Blades yesterday after having his contract at Fury mutually terminated.
Santalab's agent, Lou Sticca, acknowledged Fury chairman and owner Don Matheson for allowing his client to pursue his dream of playing overseas.
The Wollongong-born striker joined the Fury from Sydney FC in November last season but was allowed to leave the fledgling club before appearing in a competitive match.
