North Queensland Fury's Tavsangioclu chomping at the bit for A-League chance

North Queensland Fury recruit Ramazan Tavsancioglu is eagerly anticipating his second A-League opportunity.

The 26-year old defender has been brought into the Fury squad as in injury replacement player for Eric Akoto for the next six weeks and is excited about kickstarting his career in the A-League if he gets the right chance.

The South Melbourne captain played four matches for Melbourne Victory in the 2005/06 season and is now setting his sights on helping the Fury.

"This gives me a good opportunity to show myself again, prove myself, and I'm just looking forward to the challenge," he told the Townsville Bulletin.

"If that means getting an extended contract for next year with the Fury, I'm happy to do that - if it happens to be another A-League club then so be it - but I would love to stay at the Fury."

And the right-sided defender, of Turkish descent, admitted has harbored ambitions to again be given a shot in the country's top league ever since his first taste of A-League action.

"The fire always burns ... I can never let it go ... it's in the blood, I can't get rid of it," he added.

"To play in the highest level you can in the country you live in is an honour, it's something that every footballer wants to do and that's what I want to do ... and it's never over until you want it to be over.

"I'm a little bit nervous, but more excited than nervous, I can't wait."
