North Queensland Fury coach Franz Straka believes Saturday night's 1-0 loss to Melbourne Heart was his side's best performance of the season so far.
The Fury were beaten by a first-half Nick Kalmar header but they had plenty of chances throughout the match and often opened up the opposition defence, pleasing the Czech tactician.
"The way we played was the best performance of the season," Straka told the Townsville Bulletin.
"We can be very happy with the shape and as a team we did everything (right).
"I take a lot of positives from the game, it's so very important that we never stopped the work, playing positive ... it was a very good presentation of our club.
"Not scoring is the only pity."
The loss caused the Fury to drop to fifth on the table ahead of their Round 6 bye. They return to action in Round 7 where they host Melbourne Victory on Saturday, 18 September.
