North to make Wellington Phoenix debut this weekend

Jade North could make his Wellington Phoenix debut this weekend.

The 28-year old defender arrives in Wellington tomorrow and may be rushed into the squad for Saturday’s home clash with Sydney FC.

North signed with the Phoenix in July on a one-year deal but has not linked up with his new club until now.

Phoenix boss Ricki Herbert is expected to reunite North with club captain Andrew Durante after the pair won the A-League title together with the Newcastle Jets in 2007/08.
