Former Swansea City goalkeeper Roger Freestone has welcomed the club's capture of Kristoffer Nordfeldt.
The Swans signed the Swedish gloveman from Dutch club Heerenveen on Tuesday and Freestone is confident that it will push last summer's star signing Lukasz Fabianski to take his game to another level.
"This will put a little bit more pressure on him [Fabianksi]," Freestone told BBC Wales Sport.
"He had a magnificent season but obviously Garry [Monk, Swansea manager] doesn't want to him to rest on his laurels and he's brought in good competition.
"Being a Swedish international [Nordfeldt] he's going to be a good goalkeeper. "It can only be good for the football club because you've got two international goalkeepers there now and they'll both want to be playing as first choice."
