Portsmouth's deal for Shabani Nonda has stalled.

The News of the World says Nonda, 32, has held talks with Pompey boss Avram Grant - but Balram Chainrai is not willing to foot the bill for his £20,000-a-week wages.

Nonda is a target after he was been released by Turkish club Galatasaray last month.

He has Premier League experience already, having spent a year on loan in 2007-08 with Blackburn.
