Non-League boss in frame for Lincoln vacancy

Andy Preece is a candidate for the vacant manager's job at Lincoln, skysports.com reports. The League Two club are looking for a new boss after Chris Sutton resigned from the role last week after a year in charge.

Preece, who is currently player-manager at Northwich Victoria, is thought to be in the reckoning.

Preece has experience of managing in League Two after a spell as player-manager at Bury and he has impressed at Northwich Victoria after leading them to the second round of the FA Cup in the 2009-10 season.

The former Crystal Palace and Blackpool striker has worked miracles on a shoestring budget at Northwich Victoria and is thought to have a number of admirers in the Football League.
