Kevin Nolan has told Bolton Wanderers fans to lay off manager Gary Megson.

Skipper Nolan admitted: "The lads are a bit gutted over it. But the supporters have paid, so they have a right to sing and say whatever they want.

"As a player and as captain, I can say that all the players are right behind the manager - and we need the fans to get behind him.

"We're all working hard to go in the right direction."

Bolton entertain Everton tomorrow night. And full-back Jlloyd Samuel admits they must up their performance level.

He said: "We wanted to be the team that spoiled Spurs' party but were unable to do that."
