Newcastle United are set to be boosted by the return of captain Kevin Nolan for this weekend's clash with Liverpool.
The 12-goal midfielder has missed the past two matches because of suspension but has also been hampered by a slight injury, however, he said he should be fine for Sunday's trip to Anfield.
"I just felt a bit of a niggle," he told the Evening Chronicle. "It was only a precaution and to get somebody on who could run a bit faster than me really.
"It's been horrible to be honest to miss two games. But it is just part and parcel of it all.
"I have been there for the lads in terms of support, but you feel it when you have two weeks out."
