Nolan on Big Sam: What he has done for me and West Ham is unbelievable

West Ham United skipper Kevin Nolan is full of praise for manager Sam Allardyce.

Allardyce marked 100 games in charge with a Capital One Cup win over Cardiff City.

"Sam is a massive influence on what I am about," he told the London Evening Standard.

"What he's done for me in my career is nothing short of fantastic. To mark his 100th game tonight at West Ham, from where it was to where it is now, is such an achievement in itself.

"What he has done for me and West Ham generally is unbelievable and he will get better and better.

"His man management is excellent. When you walk into the place there is a feel-good factor and everyone in their own way has a connection with him. As for me, I worked with him for seven years at Bolton and then here.

"All the lads know they can go and speak to him and that is very rare in modern-day football."
