Noble thrilled with Sunderland debut, despite defeat

Despite defeat to Everton, Sunderland striker Ryan Noble was thrilled making his Premier League debut.

The striker made his Barclays Premier League debut off the bench during the 2-0 loss at Everton and looked lively up front.

"It was fantastic to make my debut and although the result wasn't what we wanted but I've waited such a long time for my Premier League debut I just knew that I had to grab it by the horns and see what i could do," he told safc.com.

"I just thought - I've got to be positive in everything that I do and hopefully that showed when I was out there.

"It was a completely different pace, physicality and everything but you just have to engage it and test how good you are.

"It was absolutely fantastic to make my debut in front of all the away fans today - every kid dreams of it in Sunderland and today it's come true for me and hopefully it will be one of many."
