West Ham United midfielder Mark Noble has revealed he sought assurances from Sir Trevor Brooking over the club's sale last week.

Noble said: "He said it's all fine; that it will be good for the club, and he's someone in the know, isn't he. As long as we can keep the core of the team, invest a little bit, I'm sure it will run smoothly."
