No UEFA action to be taken against Liverpool's Suarez

UEFA will not investigate Liverpool striker Luis Suarez for an alleged stamp on an opponent last week.

The Uruguayan appeared to step on Zenit St Petersburg's Tomas Hubocan during the Europa League Round of 32 second leg on Thursday but the incident went unnoticed by referee Bjorn Kuipers.

UEFA had the option to view the happening on video footage but have decided that Suarez has no case to answer to.

Suarez netted twice on the night as Liverpool won 3-1 but were knocked out of the Europa League by virtue of the away goals rule.
