Aston Villa midfielder Karim El Ahmadi has been cleared of serious injury.
The Dutch-born Morocco international was the recipient of a horror two-footed challenge from Ramires in Villa's 1-0 win over Chelsea on Saturday which subsequently saw the Brazilian shown a red card.
The tackle was described as a 'leg-breaker' by Villa boss Paul Lambert who was happy to later reveal that El Ahmadi had escaped a serious leg injury.
"If Karim comes in from another angle, he breaks his leg. It was shocking. He has got a sore one but thankfully he's okay," he told the club's official website.
"He has a sore one on his shin. It certainly could have been worse."
