Aston Villa have managed not to include a release clause in Christian Benteke's new contract.
The 22-year old Belgian striker has performed a stunning U-turn to sign a four-year deal with Villa despite Tottenham showing significant interest.
Benteke has penned a deal which will land him £2.5million a year but the small print suggests that a clause will not be triggered if his price happens to rise meaning clubs won't be automatically alerted to him.
Benteke scored 19 goals in his debut Premier League campaign with Villa and is now set to lead the line for Paul Lambert again after agreeing to a contract extension.
