Rangers boss Walter Smith has ruled out a move for Sporting Gijon striker Nacho Novo.

Novo has been linked with a return to Ibrox after failing to settle at Sporting.

But Smith said: "Whatever we are going to do in the transfer market between now and it finishing, we will do.

"There has been enough speculation at the moment."
