Dundee United have claimed that Rangers have not contacted them in over a week about David Goodwillie.
The 22-year old striker is reportedly a strong target for the Scottish champions but Terrors officials say that they have heard nothing since June 20.
"Due to recent media speculation, chairman Stephen Thompson has issued the following statement," read a statement on the club's official website.
"We have had no contact with Rangers FC since Monday 20th June and have not received a bid from them for David Goodwillie."
