No problems with Saha says Everton assistant

Everton striker Louis Saha still has a massive role to play for the club according to assistant manager Steve Rounds.

The Frenchman was clearly frustrated at not gaining selection for the Toffees' 3-1 win over Wigan Athletic on the weekend, posting on his Twitter page that he was 'not good enough' and 'gutted' not to be in the matchday line-up.

Saha also reportedly refused to play for the reserves which has caused some controversy but Rounds says that the former Manchester United and Fulham man still has plenty to offer to Everton.

"You can understand the frustrations of people when they are not selected or not picked, you can only pick 11 unfortunately," Round told evertonfc.com.

"Sometimes you have to live with that, that's part of being a professional. I'm afraid it's part of the job, they get a paid a lot of money and work very hard on the training ground so they are ready when called upon.

"It's the manager's decision who he picks and whether he thinks this team can win or that team can win and they just have to get on with it. There has been no big thing made of it internally it has all been very quietly done.

"Louis is a terrific player who I'm sure will bounce back and feature for Everton throughout this season and come on and play and get us results - I've no doubt about that."
