Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish says the club will not risk striker Andy Carroll if he is not 100% for this weekend's match. The Reds take on Carroll's former club Newcastle United at Anfield on Sunday but the Scottish tactician says the £35million will not be risked if he is not right, especially considering his absence from the weekend's 5-0 win over Birmingham City.
"We will take an educated opinion on whether he is fit or not," said Dalglish.
"If he is not fit then it will be a disappointment for Andy but he's here for five years and I'm sure he'll play Newcastle more than just this Sunday coming up.
"His future comes long before a game against Newcastle."
Carroll has scored two goals in five Premier League appearances for his new club but is currently struggling with a knee injury.
