Major League Soccer will not make an expansion announcement before the New Year but that will not thwart David Beckham's plans in Miami.
It was believed that the former Manchester United and LA Galaxy star would lodge a complete package of details for the 21st MLS license before the end of 2013 but nothing is expected to be made official before the turn of the year.
SI.com reports that despite this, Beckham's $25million expansion bid would not be affected as he and Bolivian billionaire Marcelo Claure continue to work with the local Miami-Dade County regarding plans for a soccer-specific stadium.
