Sunderland boss Steve Bruce is in no rush to add to his squad in the January transfer window. Bruce has seen his options hit by long-term injuries to key duo Craig Gordon and Lee Cattermole in recent weeks.
The Black Cats chief admits he would like to bring in a few more faces, but only if the right players are available.
"I've not really looked, if I'm honest, because the big clubs don't usually have a shuffle in January," Bruce told the Sunday Sun.
"I could do with perhaps just a couple more bodies, but then managers are always going to say that!
"The one thing I never want to do is work with a huge squad - that's why I wanted to trim this one when I came here.
"If there's anybody available who I think can improve us then I will ask the question.
"But I'm really happy with the balance of the squad as it stands at the moment."
