Newcastle United's players are in drastic limbo as the club lurches from crisis to crisis.

With Alan Shearer on the outer, the Daily Mail says Newcastle have no plans for preseason in place and although there is initial interest in Nicky Butt and Damien Duff from Wolves and Kevin Nolan from Hull City, there have been no firm offers.
