Erik Lamela is not on the verge of signing a new deal with AS Roma according to his agent.
The Argentine midfielder, who has attracted attention from Manchester City recently, was reported to have agreed a contract extension with the Giallorossi but his representative Pablo Sabbag has rubbished those claims.
"I did not set any appointment with (director of football Walter) Sabatini, I do not think at this time that I will meet him soon," Sabbag told insiderRoma.com.
"There is no renewal of the contract, the agreement currently in force is what we have previously subscribed to and will expire on June 30, 2016."
