No move by Palace for Ipswich defender Cresswell

Aaron Cresswell's representatives have denied reports that Crystal Palace have made a move for the Ipswich Town full-back. Palace were reported to have had a £3million offer rejected for the 23 year old, but a spokesman for his agent SEM has confirmed to Sky Sports that they believe that is not the case.

"Aaron has made substantial and continued progress since signing for Ipswich Town and is possibly the best left-back in the Championship," the spokesman said.

"Ipswich turned down substantial offers from Aston Villa last summer and they obviously rate him very highly.

"Aaron is very ambitious and of course wants to play in the Premier League.

"It would be great for him to achieve that with Ipswich Town as he is happy playing there. If not, then every player has his price and at some point he will move on."
