Dean Heffernan's stay at Perth Glory is over before it has begun with the former Melbourne Heart and Central Coast full back agreeing to leave. The Australian international had only just joined the club in the off-season after an unsuccessful stint at Heart, but had been on loan with Chinese club Liaoning Whowin.
He has now opted to stay in China, with Glory granting him a release from his newly-signed deal.
"We wish Dean all the best, but there are other areas of the squad I would now like to bolster," Perth Glory coach Ian Ferguson said.
