Scotland Yard have revealed that a Chelsea supporter who was arrested on suspicion of racism has not been charged.
A 28-year old man was arrested after making 'monkey gestures' during the Blues' Capital One Cup home clash with Manchester United on October 31 but the case will not go any further with a Scotland Yard spokesman confirming so.
"The Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) takes any allegation of racist chanting and/or behaviour very seriously and if any matters are brought to our attention they will of course be thoroughly investigated," said the spokesman.
"The MPS routinely work very closely with football clubs and partner agencies to monitor behaviour to ensure public confidence and safety."
