England boss Roy Hodgson revealed he would not approach Chelsea coach Jose Mourinho ahead of the World Cup to discuss left-back Ashley Cole's lack of playing time. "It would be wrong to speak to Jose Mourinho. I have been a club manager and I wouldn't have appreciated someone asking me a favour if it didn't suit me.
"Jose has got to pick 11 players and unfortunately for Ashley he finds himself behind Cesar Azpilicueta at the moment. But that will not necessarily be the case until the end of season.
"If he gets back into team then great. If he doesn't, then I still know what Ashley, who has won 106 caps, can do."
