Chelsea skipper John Terry is set to miss England selection.

But FA sources insist the decision has nothing to do with the fact he still faces a charge over his alleged racial abuse of Anton Ferdinand, says The Sun.

Terry was cleared in court but the FA ruled that he still had a case to answer with them.

He denies the charge and has requested a personal hearing.

Manager Roy Hodgson names his squad today and has decided to rest the entire back four who played at the Euros.

That means Terry, Chelsea team-mate Ashley Cole, Manchester City centre-back Joleon Lescott and Liverpool full-back Glen Johnson are out.
