Chivas USA has announced that Brazilian midfielder Paulo Nagamura will not return to the club this season.
The 26-year old has signed with Mexican outfit Tigres UANL following the expiration of his contract after three seasons with Chivas in which he made 73 appearances.
“Paulo is a strong, dedicated player who has given this club a lot in the past three seasons,” said Chivas USA Vice President of Soccer Operations Stephen Hamilton. “While we’re disappointed that we weren’t able to re-sign him, we’re eager to continue building the team for the 2010 season. Everyone at Chivas USA wishes Paulo the best at Tigres.”
