No Chelsea bid for Napoli’s Hamsik

Chelsea have not made a bid for Marek Hamsik according to Napoli.

Rumours suggested that the 22-year old Slovakian was being hotly pursued by the Blues and that the Stamford Bridge club were prepared to spend £25million on him but Napoli has refuted those claims, saying no bid has been made for their midfielder.

"We have not received any official offer,” said Napoli’s Riccardo Bigon.

"If some clubs are monitoring our players it gives us pleasure because it means we are doing a good job.

"But Hamsik is an important player and he will remain with us."
